made from a secondhand tapestry blanket found in a pile meant to be tossed out at a yard sale held at a cemetery. the blanket is printed with the norman rockwell painting “men of tomorrow” (1948). the painting among others that rockwell was commissioned to make for the boy scouts contributed to the pro-war propaganda of that era. depicted here is a troupe carrying a canoe, navigating in the dark woods.
